Business Is Transitioning America's "Car Capital" from "Crony Capitalism" into Something Worse, and, Our "Leaders" Are Helping Them. Here's What We Can do to Stop It

There is nothing that hasn't already been said about Metro Detroit's current ruling class from this publication's editorials that would make our contempt for them any more clearer or lucid.

Currently, the Public is suffering from the worst, most unforgiving and relentlessly brutal "job market" since the Great Recession of 2008. Yet, for some odd reason, our current crop of political "leaders" all seem to be participating in an obviously comfortable and cozy game of musical chairs right in front of our faces. Take single parents for example, if they are on the unfortunate side of the employment spectrum (which is to say, unemployed or underemployed), they are forced to jump through so many unneeded and frankly bizarre hoops like submitting their applications for positions, which, are later auto-filtered out of consideration by cold and inhuman AI algorithms by the thousands. For those who somehow managed to jump over this hurdle, they're met with the mind numbingly tedious prospect of multiple rounds of interviews for entry level, low wage work only for these increasingly precarious people to be rejected in favor of a candidate who was chosen from inside of the company.

Contrast this period of time that we have to endure with what we see from the current political class, where we have seen some of the most talentless, inconsiderate, and unimaginative government bureaucrats and elected officials somehow appear to consistently fail upwards and clinch higher paychecks from the jaws of supposedly "routine" ups and downs in the "business cycle".

There are currently two developing stories within the Greater Metro Detroit mediasphere that lay bare the complete and total institutional rot that our local Capitacracy has perpetrated against us and the concept of a truly open and transparent Democracy: The first being the announcement of Mary Sheffield's transition team as she prepares to take over the City of Detroit from Mike Duggan and the second being the development of an AI data center being built in Washtenaw County.

Government Civics Brought to You by Political Snake Oil Salesmen

On the topic of what Mary Sheffield's administration will look like and how it will govern a city in one of the most critical junctures in it's history, this publication (showing a bit of justified arrogance on our part) would like to remind all of our readers/listeners that it was our reporting at the very beginning of the Detroit mayoral race that showed how Sheffield's shift in her political ideology by embracing the local Capitacracy would take her fare when everything was done and dusted. Now that she's won, Black Label Detroit is here to tell you that a Sheffield administration is poised to completely shut the door to the prospect of a people-centered, transparent, and equitable city government as the only faction that will get her attention is the Business Elite, and donors.

We say this with absolute certainty, because, during her announcement for the launch of her transition team, Sheffield made an unforced PR error by suggesting that after she won the mayorship, her team was sent nearly 800 resumes by everyday Detroiters, who, unfortunately for them, fell for Sheffield's shallow and surface level rhetorical mirage of having a "people centered" campaign. Not only is the vast majority of her transition team NOT long time Detroiters, but they're some of the same people that have had sway over Mike Duggan's governance of the city since he was first elected after the city existed from bankruptcy, and will ultimately entrench government policy that self-perpetuates the Capitocracy

Seeing as giving a detailed breakdown of every single appointment to the 46-some people who've been elevated into Sheffield's team would be bland, verbose, and ultimately, pretty fucking boring, Black Label Detroit will only point out a select few of them:

David Massaron

It's profoundly liberating disclosing information within reports such as the one that you're reading/listening to right now where Black Label Detroit does it's best, as, unlike the mainstream media with it's access obsessed "journalists", we're able to have the courage say what we want without the fear of getting censored by editors, or, having to carry the heavy burden of upholding "neutrality" for the sake of neutrality against those who have perpetrated wrongs towards people who have no voice or resources.

So, with that said, we will preface our analysis of Massaron by saying this: David Massaron deserves to be behind bars, and every single voter who supported Sheffield in the general election should be beyond absolutely fucking furious that she allowed this creature from the bureaucracy to be associated with her oncoming administration. Massaron is rightfully deserving of disdain because he was one of the main architects of the Flint Water Crisis, the part that he played should disqualify him from having any input in government policy alone. Yet, apparently to Mary Sheffield, just because Massaron has been in government in one capacity or another for decades despite being an utter failure and he was a familiar figure within Duggan's government, who, we have to re-emphasize is the head boss of Metro Detroit's Political Syndicate. she feels more or less obliged to let him reenter Detroit's political orbit.

The other main issue that this publication will draw attention to, just to drive the point home that Massaron's weaponized ineptitude, has the potential to cause real damage and effect the actual lives of Detroiters by simply treating them as impersonal numbers on an Excel spreadsheet, is the fact that Massaron. After bleeding Flint dry, he was handpicked by Mike Duggan to become Detroit's Chief Financial Officer during Duggan's second term (at a time when establishment media credited Duggan's administration with "turning the city around" despite the city of Detroit being legally obligated to spend & save taxes as outlined in the "Plan of Adjustment"). His indisputable magnum opus of bullshit projections came in 2019, when he suggested to Metro Detroit's docile and obedient media class that the city's budget obligations were on track and pointed nowhere but up, which didn't account for recessions or any other "natural" economic shocks that'd obviously effect the city's budget.

Just to drive home what David Massaron's political allegiances are, he is now working for General Motors as the VP of infrastructure and "Corporate Citizenship" and represents the interests of General Motors on Southeast Michigan's Regional Transit Authority board. Which, was apparently a position of such great importance, that he was chosen to serve on the board by governor Whitmer, and where he's undoubtedly going to use his spot to propose the soft-privatization of bus routes in favor of "autonomous shuttles" that no one likes, and which the field's CEOs bizarrely assume that people will be okay with the prospect of their product eventually killing people.

In all, David Massaron is the epitome of a creature of the bureaucracy who has a track record of poisoning poor families, masking budgetary crises, and cementing the interests of the Big 3 into a field that should be used to kill them. It is nothing less than a slap in the face to Detroit's voters by Sheffield to involve this man within her transition team within any capacity.

Anika Goss-Foster

Black Label Detroit has already done a report on Detroit Future City CEO Anika Goss-Foster's role in shrinking Detroit down to a size that would ensure suburban political domination forever, so, we'll encourage all of our readers/listeners to revisit that piece. Now, instead of highlighting Detroit Future City's misleading mission of dressing up political control by outside forces as good public policy, we'll discuss how her appointment is contrary to one of the many promises Mary Sheffield made before winning the mayorship.

At the very beginning of her mayoral campaign, after being prodded by a pre-approved establishment media outlet, Mary Sheffield suggested that she would prioritize continued population growth with via a dedicated policy group within her administration. Even now, if you were to take a look at her glossy, sanitized, yet, bare-bones website, you'd never find anything related to population growth inside of it's sterile webpages. There's nothing about population growth within her 7 key policy planks outlining her "vision" for the future of Detroit, nor is anything related to population growth  mentioned within the page dedicated to publicizing what Sheffield would like to accomplish in her first 100 days.

All of this matters to those in the region who want to see the city grow far past it's original population peak in the 1940s, because, just as this publication has reported that Detroit's population growth strategy has essentially been privatized by Detroit Future City, who, currently has the zoning department under it's control during Duggan's administration, Sheffield hasn't appointed Goss-Foster to head her council on population growth strategy, instead she's a part of the "Neighborhood Revitalization" committee (the purpose of which, seemingly verifies the claim in our initial reporting on Detroit Future City that they are wanting to carve separate cities out of Detroit, as mission of the "Neighborhood Revitalization" committee is to use "targeted plans and programs for investment, beautification and infrastructure improvements to strengthen and stabilize Detroit’s diverse neighborhoods" which would be necessary to allow those new cities to not immediately go bankrupt and be subject to Emergency Managership).

We'll further substantiate the claims made here by letting the public know that Detroit Future City released a policy framework as recently as 2022 entitled: "Detroit Future City: 2030" where within it's hastily produced two pages only mentions the word "population" twice, and, both occurrences didn't include the predicate "growth", while the term "zoning" (zoning laws are essentially the foundation of any city's economy, and basically the reason why the greater downtown area, Southwest Detroit, East Jefferson, the "avenue of fashion", the Eastern Market, and the East side all feel like different neighborhoods) appeared not a single time. Contrast that with their "magnum opus" that they produced thirteen years ago in 2012 boldly titled their "Strategic Framework" where, with it's 761 pages, they actually do call for population growth, the only catch being that they envisioned population growth for the greater downtown area instead of the whole city, which, they show on page 51 what their true vision for the city is to have it still be mostly empty grass fields by the 2060s. What also needs to be noted within this report is the fact that the term "land use" which is often used as a shorthand for the term zoning appeared 573 times within the document. (which has not been delisted from their website, hopefully out of shame for so blatantly calling for austerity urbanism, but, "woke").

So, who is actually in charge of the population growth effort for Sheffield's incoming administration if it isn't anyone related to the city's zoning department? Well, as has been linked here, her mayoral committee for "Workforce, Economic Development, and Small Business" will take control of that effort. They're goal, reportedly is to: "develop strategies to attract business investment, stimulate job growth, develop a skilled local workforce and manage relationships with corporate partners" which is nothing but PR spin for an effort to attract more businesses either tied to the existing Auto industry and it's "small business" suppliers (former mayor Dave Bing sold his automotive-adjacent firm to bankroll his successful bid), or, lean into the inevitably failed strategy of attempting to lure more FIRE economy (finance, insurance, and real estate) firms like Rocket Companies to the city and expose the populace to cyclical layoffs when the casino economy inevitably runs into crisis.

In short, Goss-Foster is in the business of looking for ways to carve the city up and Sheffield's administration has no problem with helping the regional elite Capitocracy achieve their goal of total political domination.

Megan Owens

Just as this publication has previously reported about Goss-Foster & Detroit Future City's agenda, we've also already alerted the public to the shenanigans or corporate coziness that Transit Riders United (TRU) perpetrates against Metro Detroit's transit users under the false guise of "transit advocacy". Her inclusion to Sheffield's transition team, even more than all the other criticisms made by this publication, should be an unavoidable signal that for all of Sheffield's compromising talk of "people needing businesses and businesses needing people" regarding her policy programs, her day one imperatives will be to ensure the ensure the longevity of the inept, economically parasitic, and ecologically past it's prime industry known as the automotive sector.

Again, we won't mention every single bit of information regarding Megan Owens or TRU that's already been covered within our initial report. Instead, we'll take the opportunity to remind our readers/listeners that TRU gave Sheffield preferential treatment during the mayoral race, by not disclosing the fact that, while she was the frontrunner, she was the only other candidate besides the serial-forum skipper Solomon Kinloch that didn't show up to the only mayoral forum based on transit which mostly every other candidate went to, the forum in question was coincidentally put on by TRU. They even neglected to mention her by name.

The reason why this whole appointment stinks of some sort of quid pro quo situation is because, during the beginning of the mayoral primary when Sheffield was the first candidate to announce her bid, she spoke highly of replicating Atlanta's MARTA system by building something similar within Metro Detroit. She even has financial ties within MARTA's operations, as Steven Parker, MARTA's chief of staff, was one of the Sheffield campaign's original donors while a major chunk of other early donors were from the city of Atlanta. Unlike every other candidate in the field, Sheffield was not pressed by establishment news outlets, nor "advocacy groups" such as TRU, on her transit positions for genuine issues such as how she would fund such a system, where it would go, nor whether it would be truly regional or not.

Lo and behold, after Sheffield wins the mayorship, on her campaign website, she specifically calls for the transit half-measure of "bus rapid transit", as does TRU as an organization, which, as we mentioned in our report, is a mode of transit that is designed to keep the Auto Industry alive, and is incompatible with a vision for true mass transit for Metro Detroit and the state of Michigan as a whole.

We can't make shit like this up even if we wanted to.

Ellen Ha

Now, we come to the final, and possibly, most consequential highlight of Sheffield's transition team. This appointment, much like the others mentioned here, shows that Sheffield's administration will only be held accountable to party insiders instead of the public at large. This isn't just some unsubstantiated assertion, but, Ha's appointment more or less proves it.

Ellen Ha is best known for the role she played as the city of Detroit's Inspector General, where, while in office, she essentially ruled that there was no wrongdoing that occurred when current Detroit mayor Mike Duggan steered city resources to his mistress' non-profit, and who ordered his staffers to delete all emails related to the controversy.

There's a sign that whatever force created our Universe loves historical eras rhyming with each other, as Sheffield was recently forced by independent local media to vote in favor of the suspension of the Gayanga Demolition firm, which she previously voted in favor of securing city contracts, since she had a romantic relationship with it's CEO. The reason why they were suspended in a unanimous vote by city council was because Gayanga was sourcing contaminated dirt from the still barren Northland Mall construction zone in Southfield to fill in the lots of demolished homes owned by the Detroit Land Bank because of Mike Duggan's aggressive policies regarding vacant homes (and yet, there are critics of Black Label Detroit for focusing on Regional Integration as a solution to corruption within Metro Detroit). Despite this obvious conflict of interest, the city of Detroit's Board of Ethics ruled that Sheffield's relationship broke no rules, this, there was no need for her to disclose her relationship with the firm.

It should be blatantly obvious to those interested in governance that is not only efficient but also ethical will find the City of Detroit's standards for doing business is laughably inadequate and dated. Ellen Ha is nothing more than a representation of a broken system. So, at the end of the day, Ha's inclusion within Sheffield's team is a representation of all the rot inherent to our political system, and what should be a lighting rod for all of our readers/listeners to fight for a type of government that makes these types of political relationships ancient history.

AI on the Outskirts: Tech Outside of State Control

As for the data center currently being fast-tracked by DTE, who stands to profit from future strain on an already fragile electrical grid, which is only one of several data centers proposed within the state of Michigan, is yet another tale of political insider wheeling and dealing. We're making this claim based on the overlooked scoop that was developed more than a week ago at the time of writing this report that the data center destined to be constructed in Saline Township is financially linked to gubernatorial candidate Jocelyn Benson's husband.

For those of you out there who are fans of Gretchen Whitmer and believe she is one of the few politicians who have Michigander's best interest at heart, she's one of the AI Industry's biggest supporters, signing into law massive tax breaks for data centers back in 2022. For reference, AI data centers are credited as being terrible for the wider environment because of their air and water pollution, and Michigan as a whole has extensive history of contaminating our watershed ecosystems as the price for the empty victory of "economic growth".

There's a salient point to be made by linking these two local stories together, the common thread between them is the complete and total dominance of factions of the Capitacracy, both old and long-standing, and, newer and more consequential with both of them reshaping the role of government to bend to their whims. For example, in a bid to secure it's future survival, the Auto Industry is slowly rolling out technologies (such as self-driving vehicles, and, it's exponentially more radical prospect of killing personal car ownership through "Mobility as a Service", which has to be noted that the CEO of Waymo believe that society is "ready" to accept the event of one of their cars killing someone) that will irreversibly negatively shape our built environment for centuries with even worse social consequences for our cities than postwar mass suburbanization, and, the only other portion of the Capitacracy that is shaping our world in a similar way is Big Tech.

Both of these industries and the cities that cater to them have essentially given up on the idea of government holding on to economic power and making sure that the corporations within their jurisdictions creates goods and services that benefit their citizens. Instead, as our favorite economist Yanis Varoufakis suggests, the mutations of Capitalism has taken economic powers away from our governments, and now, our politicians are seemingly completely powerless to do anything.

What has Capitalism Become? Is it Really "Technofeudalism"?

Varoufakis' thoughts on the modern progression of Capitalism is an interesting thing to think about, as it seems like his theories and writing has significantly radicalized as time has marched on, and, it's not at all difficult to see why. He was essentially forced to quit his short time in government due to his party leader implementing austerity despite the Greek public putting them in office to stop inflicting brutal austerity measures against them in the first place. He then became a successful author by analyzing the political and economic pain inflicted upon Greece by it's governments, the European Union, and the global Capitacratic order. After he got sick of helplessly watching events unfold on the European political scene, he attempted to launch a European-wide political party in order to try and drastically reform the European Union, but, he only achieved a handful of seats within Greece when the nation entered general election season back in 2019 before being forced out of government in a following election.

We suppose that this loss, as well as the onset of the 2020 pandemic, when, the US Fed alone printed $13 trillion dollars to give to the zombie companies so they could prop up the utterly arbitrary numbers in the stock market, in service to ensure that the completely undead system we know as Capitalism can continue to live in the economic ICU for just a few more decades, possibly broke down Varoufakis' faith in some Radical-led force of nature forming itself into a mass political movement and finally toppling Capitalism during one of it's inevitable times of crisis once and for all.

We can get a glimpse of his radicalization by comparing two of his books: the first one being Another Now, released in 2020 during the onset of the pandemic. And, the wildly popular Technofeudalism: What Killed Capitalism, which was published after the end of the pandemic during our strange era of stagflation back in 2023. The interesting differences between the books aren't just structural, (Another Now was written like a fiction novel while Technofeudalism is nonfiction and written with Varoufakis' father in mind) but, also political. The gist of Another Now (without spoiling the plot) is basically centered around the idea that a parallel Universe exists where, after a coordinated uprising happens using the stock market, the World's governments created a "Market Socialist" political system after the 2008 crisis. The whole book is, undoubtedly, influenced by Varoufakis' time at the Valve Software where he served as the resident economist to manage the firm's video game economies in real-time.

It is admirable for Varoufakis to step outside of the Radical tradition by illuminating an alternative to modern Capitalism, but, as time has relentlessly marched on, it is very apparent that he has grown increasingly pessimistic about the direction of Capitalism. Which, is exactly why, we hypothesize, the conversations and debates surrounding the claims of Technofeudalism has made such an impact on Radicals.

To sum up the book in short, Varoufakis argues that a new Socioecopolitical system has emerged out of the "Capitalism" that we've known for nearly 300 years. Essentially, he suggests that Big Tech has created a new form of profit (which he calls "Cloud Capital") that's generated from our preferences and replicated within the algorithm of various websites and apps. He further suggests that organizations such as Google and Amazon have set up virtual "serfdoms" where they extract massive rents from those who buy/sell on their platforms.

One of the interesting points that should be noted between these two books is the fact that the government within Another Now could very well be described as "Social Democratic", meaning that the government is heavily invested in the operations of the so called "free market" (think of the FDR's "New Deal" and the supposed "golden age of American Capitalism"). Yet, there's a huge separation from this "ideal" political system he originally proposed compared to what he says about Social Democracy within Technofeudalism. In short, Varoufakis argues that Social Democracy emerged in a time where the Industrial Capital had tangible assets that created physical markets in which the state could regulate and strong labor unions that could be sat at a table with management and share in the firm's profits. However, with the deregulation of the FIRE (finance, insurance, and real estate) economy as well as the rise of both Silicon Valley and China's numerous tech hubs, achieving Social Democracy, Varoufakis argues, is now impossible.

"What is the Difference Between the 'Capitacracy' and the Theory of 'Technofeudalism'?"

This publication agrees on almost everything with Varoufakis. As a thinker, he's possibly one of the sharpest thought leaders that modern Radicals have. However, when it comes to explaining the state of the Socioecopolitical World that Humanity finds itself in, even though "Technofeudalism" is a very interesting phenomenon to think about, no one can argue that the shift from physical to data-based Capital accumulation is in opposition of our theory of the "Capitacracy".

Since we've only explained what we mean by "Capitacracy" in small passages and quips, we'll get into more detail within this report as to what we mean by using the term so that all of our readers/listeners are on the same page:

Basically, this publication has been arguing that "Capitacracy" (as in, government run by the interests of Capital) is the best term to fit most of the Earth's governments because it is a truly intersectional label that covers a plethora of suggested governments that theorists suggest apply to our world. It encompasses Autocracy (rule by one branch of government or one person) because of the Populist Right's obsession with "unitary executive theory" they have basically set the legal precedent in America that the presidency is above the institutional checks and balances believed to be inherent to the constitution, it includes Bernie Sanders' hypothesis that America has become an Oligarchy (rule by a few) because both Varoufakis' "Cloud Capitalists" and the classical "Business Elite" are both guiding government policy, we'd even argue that our bastardized form of government exhibits the characteristics of an "Electocracy" (a form of government where the public can vote for representatives, but, they have no power to shape government policy). Dubbing our current Socioecopolitical system "Capitacracy" effectively defangs certain claims such as the idea that we all live within "Late Stage Capitalism" (inadvertently debunking Varoufakis' Technofeudalism theory) because it acknowledges that Capitalism's greatest strength is transforming and metastasizing in the face of crises that seem poised to finally kill it.

Even within Technofeudalism, Varoufakis laments that Karl Marx's grand idea of Capitalism coming into an inescapable crisis that will eventually kill it while ushering in Communism has failed to become reality. So, he postulated that not only has traditional Capitalism died, but, it's successor has seemingly transformed from a simple economic system into a political and social system as well. Right from our first mention of the "Capitacracy", we have treated it as an all encompassing Socioecopolitical theory, but, since we're diving into the specifics, we think it'd be best to illustrate what the "mature" form of Capitacracy will look like. Both fortunately, and disturbingly, we know of an individual who is unironically seeking for the Populist Right to bring about a bleak, dystopian, and ruthlessly oppressive Capitacratic world, and, that person in question has immense influence on many of those within the current administration in Washington. That man's name is Curtis Yarvin.

The Karl Marx of Capitacracy: Curtis Yarvin

It's actually quite difficult to fully capture how deranged and fucking terrifying this man's antisocial, asinine, and frankly low-brow, yet, worryingly influential his theories are. And, looking at his background, it's hard to see where Yarvin would be influenced by his surroundings to advocate for overthrowing what little Democracy we currently enjoy in America. But, just as Karl Marx got on the path to radicalization by reading Friedrich Hegel, Yarvin's political worldview had been shaped by reading economists from the Austrian school.

Basically, the Austrian school of economics deals with an idealistic framing of individual agency. They see the activities and preferences of the individual to be the most important role in developing economic policy, and they've developed all sorts of complicated theorems and equations that helped contribute to the foundations of the completely ideological in practice and unhelpful purely theoretical "discipline" known as "Microeconomics". Yarvin, apparently, thought that advocating for Capitalism over radical politics, or defending slavery, just wasn't enough. So, it seems as if he took all of the worst parts of American Libertarianism and dialed up their intensity to 100.

For example, Yarvin genuinely advocates for the presidency to be replaced with a "CEO Monarch", who, according to him, would be a far better ruler than anyone who was elevated to the position could be using the democratic process. His rationale for doing away with Democracy is the historically illiterate and his completely fucking fictitious assertion that presidents such as FDR were "governing as a CEO", which, completely ignores how Radical Agitation in the workplace from militant trade unions and emerging Class Consciousnesses coming to a head while America was suffering from the worst economic crisis in it's history forced FDR to create several government programs and empower workers for fear of Radicals taking over the federal government.

Despite his historical and political illiteracy, however, Yarvin's theories have been adopted by many powerful men within the business world and this administration. Venture Capitalist Peter Thiel, Billionaire Elon Musk, and vice president JD Vance all point to Yarvin for inspiring their political opinions, and every single one of them has open contempt for the concept of Democracy if the Populist Right isn't winning due to their influence.

Since this report would become a novel if we spent time dissecting all of the utterly insane bullshit that the Capitacrats actually believe, we'll instead elaborate upon what a "mature" version of the Capitacracy would look like just as we promised.

"Posthumanism": The Endgame for Capital and Tech in Total Control

This publication will use this section of our report to signal boost a story from an independent journalist whose potentially uncovered one of the most disturbing stories within the 21st Century that is being drowned out by the torrent of bullshit within the establishment media's 24 hour news cycle.

Before we disclose that reporting, we believe it is mandatory for all of our readers/listeners/critics to watch this video of Billionaire Peter Thiel being asked the question "do you think the Human race should survive?"

We want you to keep that in mind as we disclose the following information from the Drey Dossier's Substack page, and we urge anyone and everyone to look into all the related material that is sourced on their website for this portion of the report, which will put all this disparate information into a cohesive story:

In July of 2025, Elon Musk made it known to investors that he wants to increase the number of his Neuralink brain implants from 7 to 1,000 by 2026. Currently, Neuralink has gotten FDA approval for two testing sites, one being in Phoenix, Arizona and the other being Miami, Florida. Both are cities that just so happen to have a very large presence of Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations. Within the city of Miami, there is a facility called the Khrome Detention Center in which there are a large number of detainees go who are being processed for eventual deportation. Within the Khrome Center, there are an average of 3 deaths that occur each month, all of which exhibit signs of brain damage. There's also been reporting that the individuals being held within solitary confinement are being held for longer periods than usual (going from an average 14 days to an average of 38 days). Not too far away, within the concentration camp known as "Alligator Alcatraz" has been reporting that several individuals have somehow come up missing.

When looking at government contracts using publicly available databases, the city of Honolulu, Hawaii comes up multiple times for Department of Defense (DOD) contracts related to neurosurgery. The organization obtaining all of these contracts has been identified as NIR LLC, and their work is stated as being performed at Triple Army Medical Centre. It's only after attempting to get basic information about the firm NIR LLC that one finds out that the firm has no website, nor, names of any employed physicians doing the contracted work. The only indication of it's existence is an address "888 South King Street", which is the location of the Straub Medical Center, a civilian hospital that just so happens to have a large neurosurgery department.

Other public resources were used to comb the Honolulu area for workers who have ties to Neuralink, only two individuals were ID'd. The first one is a clinical project manager who lived in Honolulu and specialized in "trial site management", "implementation of clinical trials", "management and oversight of external venders", and finally, "negotiating and building relationships with organizations". This is despite Neuralink not officially having a presence in Hawaii. The second individual runs "Hang Ten Capital", which is a private equity firm based in Honolulu, it's investments range from "Fintech" (financial technology) to food startups as well as in Neuralink.

The Drey Dossier's initial report then ends on the bombshell that late this year, at the time of reporting this, it has been uncovered that ICE made a deal to house detainees at FDC Honolulu, which holds 992 beds, and their initial report provided proof of individuals being moved from Florida and Arizona to other ICE concentration camps before being sent to FDC Honolulu.

After, going over all that information, we want you to ponder upon a crucial question: Do you think that the technology that Peter Thiel alluded to that'd allow him to be immortal wouldn't also necessitate a wide array of parallel technology to ensure that the current Capitacratic dynamics of vast, crushing, and inescapable inequality wouldn't also exist? If your response was something like "of fucking course", then, we're in agreement.

The Drey Dossier's reporting gives us a small, bone-chilling window into what the future would look like under a "mature" Capitacracy. If the undocumented, a group of people who legally hold no rights under the American constitution, can be used as expendable lab rats via surgeries without their consent, what stops the government from doing the same to citizens they deem "domestic terrorists" just because Billionaires like Elon Musk have arbitrary quotas and the Capitacratic government wants to make an example out of them?

This technology opens the door for manifest abuses of power and absolutely inevitable Human Rights violations, especially seeing as one of the "end goal" uses for Neuralink being memory augmentation and changing cognitive abilities. So, in essence, if the government wanted to wipe the memory of individuals and re-ignite the search for the perfect mind-control techniques just as they did with MK ULTRA, they'd basically have the technological means to achieve that.

So many worlds could be conjured up in order to illustrate that something fundamentally Human within our species could be lost forever by replacing our bodily functions with the cold logic of machinery. This publication hopes that the prospect alone of such a future, where, we are all connected in our servitude to an immortal class of Tech Capitalists by neurological chains which prevent the natural urge to revolt or even standing in opposition to their whims, sounds like a Matrix-style apocalypse that must be avoided at all costs. But, the horse is already dead and has thoroughly been beaten.

What we want to do next is to show both local Radicals and the World what we can do to avoid our trajectory towards technological slavery:

Returning to Sheffield's Circle

Our purpose in selecting a specific few of Mary Sheffield's large and well-heeled transition team was, in part, to highlight how her government would be wholly controlled by the interests of Capital. It's when using our analysis of the Capitacracy's goal of achieving "posthumanism" that we can see how her administration is poised to aid in this endeavor.

Sheffield has a whole dedicated committee whose purpose is to: "focus on identifying and promoting new technologies and high-growth sectors to diversify Detroit’s economy and position the city as a hub for future industries.". The goal that her incoming administration is working towards is no different than the political initiatives that she's championed since the ideological turn that Sheffield has undergone since becoming City Council President. She was instrumental in helping give public money to the "Future of Health" development to Henry Ford Hospital, which is Detroit's main research facility that specializes in neuroscience (remember, all of Neuralink's movements have been within cities that have institutions that have specialization in neurology and a heavy ICE presence, Metro Detroit has both). Not only that, but, keeping the members of her transition team in mind, it's so blatantly obvious where her efforts to diversify Detroit's economy will go to as we look at committee member Johnnie Turnage. Who, the business community describes as a "grassroots activist" despite the fact that the non-profit industrial complex has given him millions of dollars to create "Silicon Valley, but, Black" within the city of Detroit.

If our critics would like to suggest that this publication is simply shitting on the aspirations of successful Black people, then, we implore you to judge Turnage's role within the city's business ecosystem by judging the worlds that the man has willingly said of his own free will. Take this interview with Jer Staes of Daily Detroit where he was brought on to talk about the city's tech ecosystem.

When Jer asked him what the city of Detroit and Metro Detroit as a whole can do to quickly grow our tech sector, Turnage says the following:

"Honestly, we should talk to entrepreneurs, people who are running some of the biggest companies. What are they seeing and what are they going to need? How are we gearing what we're training the up and coming generation to do to where they're going to be needs? If you're talking to CEOs who are planning long-term, they know what jobs they're going to keep investing in."

In a time where Tech Capital has fully embraced to fascist policies of president Trump as well as harbor fascists on social media platforms, who is honestly dumb enough to believe that Big Tech, let alone Big Tech CEOs mind you, should be catered to or centered as a legit economic strategy? The final nail in the coffin comes where Turnage was photographed with now mayor-elect Mary Sheffield and Fred Durhall III, who is one of the most Capitacratic-friendly members of Detroit City Council, for a press release from the city publicizing a $700k startup fund that the City will use as a means of retaining "talent" within the city of Detroit. Not a single one of the "rapid growth industries" that they listed ("mobility" being shorthand for autonomous cars and the auto industry, "advanced manufacturing" being a euphemism for the mass automation of industrial labor, "clean energy" which, is actually a good thing, but, there are ethical concerns with how materials used for clean energy are sourced as well as "green washing" is being used to hide austerity, other than that, "artificial intelligence" and it's dangers to society are well documented, while finally, "health innovation" dovetails back into fields like neurology) are compatible with any vision of a radically egalitarian, socially conscious, nor a radically inclusive economic strategy.

So, what the fuck are local Radicals are supposed to do in order to escape being the technoslaves of the near future? Now, we have finally gotten to the part where this publication can use our analysis to offer Revolutionary Optimism.

A Satisfying Conclusion: Creating the "Silicon Commons"

The role that technology will play within Human society will be the burning question of the 21st century. Every year, there are more and more people who will be born into a world where the products of inventions such as the internet will be something that has always been a part of their lives, more people who are tweaking the trajectory of their entire lives in higher education in an attempt to get a job working for Big Tech, and, sad to say, more people becoming alienated from what Capitalists would call "productive society" because they have no other choice than to rely on the pitiful wages that the "Gig Economy" offers to those who need to scrape up extra money to simply survive.

What Radicals must do in order to regain agency in our lives and the lives of the public at large (blending our theories with those of Yanis Varoufakis' prescriptions at the end of Technofeudalism) is to attack the root of Big Tech's power: intellectual property laws and copyrights, and, this cannot be done from the political sidelines, the approach requires Radicals to capture state power as well as finding ways to innovate upon classic organizing strategies within the workforce who're reliant upon the platforms of the Tech Capitacrats.

Once in government, there's nothing stopping Radicals from doing things such as sitting on patents/IPs that would be fundamentally damaging to the social order such as Artificial General Intelligence, or, even stipulate all businesses/companies operating within our jurisdictions and in select industries must make their private IPs/patents purchasable by the government, which, if purchased by a Radical government, could be distributed for free and make it to where private companies cannot file for IP protections or parents on government owned/government funded technologies.

There could be an entire book written about how different the World could be if a Radical government used popular agitation to rewrite the rules of the Tech sector, because we want to save that analysis for another time, we'll stop it there.

In conclusion, the contradictions of the Capitacracy are making life unbearable for us masses who have to put up with the genuinely insane and terrifying ideologies that the current owners of Big Tech have and are relentlessly trying to apply to our World. It may seem as if life is only going to get harder, scarier, and more dystopian as our governments, local and international, bend over backwards in order to seek out their political fortunes, however, the generations of those who struggled for a better life as well as political emancipation show us that governments only act in the people's interests when they have exhausted every other option.

Today, we are running out of options, so, it is our duty as Human beings who want to keep our sense of Humanity is to find any way we can to end the threat that the Capitacracy poses against our institutions. We know that there are steep hills to climb and that the recipe for Class Consciousness will not be the same in our tame as it was for the Radical trade unions of yesterday. But, a struggle has to happen regardless, and achieving a future where we are not slaves eternally linked physically and mentally to Big Tech is predicated on Humanity winning in that struggle.
