Davos, the Detroit Regional Chamber, and the Coming Struggle for an Authentic Urban Democracy

There is one crucial principal that currently dominates our society. And, once we mention it, many individuals, no matter if they work in the public/private sector, are rich of poor, have an education or not, or any other Socioecopolitical descriptor, will more likely than not to see our observation as almost insultingly elementary:

Since the times of the Agricultural Revolution that tied us to the land, broke the rhythms of the Earth and allowed Humanity to expand in ways never imagined by our distant biological cousins and ancestors, what we know of today as "information asymmetry" (in academic terms, something that someone knows that you don't in an economic transaction) began to dominate how we interact with others in this strange new thing we dubbed "Society".

Before our era of artificial hierarchies was created by the Agricultural Revolution, people often lived and died based off of the innumerable life lessons that were instilled upon them by the so-called "primitive" associations that they lived in, whether it be their family, their tribe, other tribes, or, the experimentation with plant species that was previously jealously hoarded by petty warlords which birthed the first Urban societies in the first place.

Now, as technology has gotten more advanced, yet, our regressive political institutions show the obvious signs of buckling under numerous immense pressures by increasingly Authoritarian governments, information asymmetry is simply viewed as something that has "always existed", which is to say, "a normal aspect of Human nature".

Yet, supporters of our current economic order, where, people unyieldingly serve the interests of "markets", would probably go further than that by suggesting that the use of information asymmetry is "good" actually, because monetarily quantifying everything that surrounds us would, somehow, allow society to value things in an appropriate manner, or, something else along those lines if supporters of the current order are to be believed.

We bring up information asymmetry because one of the most important fields that regularly relies upon this principal is the crumbling World of journalism. This publication can correctly make this claim primarily because there were two massive events which concluded at the beginning of the year that should've received "wall-to-wall", furious, breathless reporting by our local Establishment Media Class after these venues/ events finally shut their doors. Yet, as of the tail-end of Spring 2026, the events in question were neatly swept under the continuous churn of the "media cycle", which, yet again became subservient to the current presidential tactic of "flooding the zone" to distract the public from analyzing crucially important foreign and domestic matters.

So, what events is this publication even talking about? None other than the annual Detroit Policy Conference and the Davos Summit which are organized by the Detroit Regional Chamber of Commerce (which is often just called "the Regional Chamber" and is essentially an extremely strong Union of Metro Detroit based businesses) and the World Economic Forum (known as the WEF and basically the same thing as the Regional Chamber, but, on an international scale) respectively.

"Are you stupid? There's multiple news sources that have covered both events. Why act like there was some media blackout if you're not aiming to intentionally skew the 'information' that you find?"

This publication has been around long enough to know that this would more than likely be the knee jerk reaction among our critics within the Establishment Media who just see us as a negative force against genuine, Capital-led progress within Metro Detroit.

We'll counter by saying this: the following report isn't suggesting that there aren't ANY reports about both events. Instead, what we're trying to put out into the public in order to allow them to simply have the imagination to ponder those developments is the fact that these events have had so many Earth-shattering consequences to both Metro Detroit and communities across the World that it necessitates far more coverage than they got within the Establishment Media ecosystem. And, no, it's not enough that both the Regional Chamber and the WEF have certain snippets or a few "keynote speeches" available online.

If our media had any journalistic integrity at all, they'd be offering a critical analysis to these supposedly powerful people rather than meekly opting to "report what happened" as if there's any value or virtue in attempting to seem "Apolitical".

A Simple Proposition that Could Help Create a more Media Literate World

With that being said, this publication would recommend to all of it's readers/listeners and even our critics is to do something that might, on the surface, seem contradictory. Yet, everything about our request will be entirely reasonable once we elaborate upon our intuitive suggestion:

If you truly want to understand current events via media, your best bet is to read explicitly anti-Capitalist sources of news. While you do this, however, you also need to explicitly seek out media centered around business & finance.

Now, in the eyes of our critics, we just completely discredited ourselves, especially since we have repeatedly suggested that Black Label Detroit, as a Radical platform, is superior to all the other news media within Metro Detroit. We might have even embarrassed ourselves doubly so, because, in their eyes, nothing valuable can be obtained from any media that rejects free market principals and the theories that support Capitalism. This is opposed to business and finance media, which, again, in their eyes, is more authentic to the field of journalism.

Without getting too into the weeds, like almost every other critique of this platform, any figures espousing that sentiment are being intentionally deceitful. While the "Orthodox Radical" policy program leaves something to be desired (which is why you can find yourself to the Left of figures such as Karl Marx even if you've read the Communist Manifesto for just one time), the rich intellectual legacy that Karl Marx has left behind has given Humanity such a sharp lens of critique to apply to the forces of Capitalism.

This is because of the fact that no other Radical historical figure has formulated any foundational bodies of work on any other related subject ever since Marx's death. New thinkers within the Orthodox Radical tradition have been continually adding and expanding on the concepts that he pioneered, and, the result is that as time has gone on, we enjoy an unparalleled insight to both the fundamental structures of Capitalism and it's most glaring shortcomings. The equation M(money) + C(Commodity) = M'(Profit) as well as Marx's analysis to recognize a business' tendency of the rate of their profits to fall over time are the most simple, bare-bones, yet, foundational, and clear assessment of how our market-oriented Society functions during it's most dangerous and destabilizing fluctuations.

But, it's also important to remind yourself that Marx was no "historically unique genius" either, he just relied upon the means of obtaining knowledge that he had at his disposal during his time.

This is the very reason why we also suggest all of you to read business and finance-oriented media. Our reasoning for that is because those outlets have a financial incentive to give their readership an accurate analysis of economic events so that their readership (the "Business Elite") can make economically sound investments.

To get back to our main point about the conferences though, this publication would suggest that the 2026 Detroit Policy Conference and the 2026 Davos Summit were particularly consequential as both of these events gave us glaringly obvious clues as to what the local and international Capitacracy want the remainder of the 21st Century to look like if our completely neutered and paid for Political Class give them everything that they want even if it comes at the expense of this very same Political Class losing what little power they currently hold, just so they can merrily take a corporate handout via the "Revolving Door" and become paid lobbyists once they get bored of pretending to listen to their constituents.

We'll start our analysis with the Davos Summit before we turn our attention to our backyard:

4 Ways that the Davos Summit Created Our Current New World Order

1: Ursula Von Der Leyen Soft-launched the Idea of a Politically Unified Europe

Usually, you expect routine Bureaucrats, when making speeches, to not "shake the boat" too much in front of the press and, instead, zero-in upon so-called "safe" statements that've been pre-approved by their consultants and ghostwriters. But mind you, we live in a time where people are increasingly angry and skeptical of the work that Bureaucrats perform for the Political Class, which, forces governments and their Superstructures to continually reassess, distract from, and obscure the goals of Radicals who seek out nothing less than the complete reorganization of our World via the Social Revolution.

Yet, Von Der Leyen is no ordinary pencil-pushing Bureaucrat, in fact, she is one of the most powerful popularly unelected politicians on the face of the Earth. She had been hand-picked to be the president of the European Commission (which, is the executive body of the European Union) by her "Elite" Business Class peers within the European halls of power back in 2019, and, this year, she took the opportunity in her keynote address at Davos to lay the foundation of something that Nationalists from all walks of life have dreaded for decades: the idea behind something that has been called "The United States of Europe".

This publication can confirm that this was Von Der Leyen's intent based on the verbiage that she used during her address, while referencing the 1971 "Nixon Shock" (which ended the dollar being legally tied to the price of gold), suggesting that Europe needs to unify in the face of Socioecopolitical uncertainty. Saying:

"Europe [needs] to strengthen its economic and political power. It was a warning to reduce our dependencies, in this case on a foreign currency. The world may be very different today, without any question, but I believe the lesson is very much the same. That geopolitical shocks can and must serve as an opportunity for Europe, and in my view the seismic change we are going through today is an opportunity, in fact, a necessity, to build a new form of European independence. And this need is neither new nor a reaction to recent events; it has been a structural imperative for far longer."

To those of you who don't really pay attention to Europe, it's very hard to explain how genuinely Earth-shattering this suggestion is. Yet, the loose concept has been gaining support from all sides of politics with figures on the Fascist Right like Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, so-called "Radical Centrist" French President Emmanuel Macron, and the Populist Left superstar who was the former Greek finance minister, Yanis Varoufakis coming out in favor of some vague notion of a more cohesive European Socioecopolitical order.

There are genuine headwinds that will dominate any and all conversations that take place on the subject since the European Union seems poised to enter another Eurozone Crisis relatively soon. And, if genuine reassessment of European financial, political, administrative, and economic policy never sees the light of day, we may see economically powerful nations like Ireland, France, or Germany fall into utter turmoil that could mean the end for the European Union as a continually existing institution.

2: He Lifeng Sold the "Chinese Dream" of Economic and Political Stability to the World

Since most Americans are, at birth, conditioned to develop both "Main Character Syndrome" and Nationalist Chauvinism, we collectively saw the first Trump administration as some anomaly that came out of nowhere and caused some vague notion of "weakness" or "betrayal" to our international relationships.

Now, after the failed political reset to "normality" that the inept Biden administration was supposed to represent has been brushed aside by an emboldened second Trump administration, it's starting to become more evident each and every day that the forces that caused Trump's rise will not go away after he eventually leaves popular consciousness, and, World leaders know this to be the case.

Now, no other nation knows what opportunities the decline of American Empire represents more than the nation of China, which represents an existential crisis for the National Security Industrial Complex within the alphabet agencies (which, in 2022, made a thirty-two minute long propaganda piece decrying China for doing every economic policy that the American government has perpetrated against foreign nations since World War 2).

Before we go any further on the subject, this publication would like to clarify that we have no illusions of a "better" multi-polar or uni-polar international order under China as opposed to America, unlike some self described "Radicals" who're growing more and more impotent at looking for ways to change this country for the better. China acts within the interests of it's Billionaires just as America acts in the interests of ours, and, there's no doubt that both the Chinese and American Military Industrial Complexes are looking for any reason to start a bloody, costly, and utterly futile war against each other even if it means the complete destruction of the World (in the video game series Fallout, the end of the World is caused by a nuclear war sparking off from a conventional war between America and China because of dwindling natural resources causing shortages and civil unrest, here's to hoping that our real World avoids that same fate, which, unfortunately does not seem likely).

Anyways, Lifeng, the deputy Prime Minister of China, used his speech at Davos to support the Socioecopolitical policies of his boss Xi Jinping, who has launched initiatives to solidify China's place within international markets, promised military support to it's allies, and even has become one of the World's most prolific sources of green tech and decarbonization

The gambit from the point of view from the Chinese government is clear: Sell the benefits of cooperation to the World as American foreign policy becomes less and less predictable or sound by the day. Since there is likely to be more presidents in this nation's future who have the exact same tendencies as Donald Trump, this speech marks the beginning of the end for the steadily deteriorating status of Pax Americana.

3. Mark Carney Exposed the "Rules Based International Order" Lead by the US to be a Lie, Only to Prove Himself to be a Hypocrite

One of the most publicized speeches from the entire conference was made by Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, who, many talking heads in the media believed, finally "told the truth" about Pax Americana when Carney suggested in his ~15 minute keynote speech that many governments around the World "partially knew it to be false", which, he illustrated by relaying the story of shopkeeper in Communist Czechoslovakia taking down a "workers of the World, unite!" sign out of their window to illustrate how they no longer believed in the then-existing Socioecopolitical order, and, concluding the tale by suggesting to other fellow World leaders to "take their signs down", comparing Pax Americana with Communist Rule.

The speech was notable mainly because Canada has been a major trading partner and ally of America for generations, and, the consensus among the commentator class was that this speech would be timeless in the age of Trumpism. It should be noted that this was the first major international address that Carney would make after winning the 2025 Canadian general election after his party, the Liberal Party, won the most seats on the platform of "standing up" to Donald Trump while his opponent and leader of the Canadian Conservative Party, Pierre Poilievre, ran on mimicking Trump's policies.

It was so solidified among political analysts that Carney's speech marked a new era for Canada especially after news of a trade deal between Canada and China emerged where Carney proposed to nearly eliminate tariffs on Chinese EV's at the expense of auto plants that're owned by American auto companies.

But, as is characteristic with many politicians, the prospect of profiting from foreign wars swiftly changed Carney's attitude. When Trump decided to launch the illegal and pointless war against Iran, Carney expressed the same bullshit talking points about how awful it'd be if Iran developed nuclear weapons, even calling them a "threat to international peace".

As the war has momentarily cooled down, however, Carney decided that it wasn't a good look to praise Trump's foreign policy blunders, so, he decided to actually criticize Trump again. Yet, the "strongest" disagreement he expressed with the whole situation was chiding Trump for "not getting the international community involved" as if the United Nations wasn't completely powerless to stop American imperialism and hasn't been used as a tool to pursue illegal wars in the past.

This has shown to be a clear subservience of the Canadian government to the global arms trade and the American war machine, something Carney has shown no intention whatsoever to end.

4: Friedrich Merz Signaled that the Only Path for Germany's Economic Growth is in Military Spending

Germany is the European Union's largest economy, and, despite the German state being notoriously financially austere, it is dealing with immense financial strain as a direct result of deficit spending on arms and weapons to feed the failing forever-war within Ukraine. Merz's comments basically filled in the "holes" within Ursula Von Der Leyen's calls for European political unity.

With global economic activity being centered around the World's two superpowers China, and America, Merz's call for increased military spending should not be mistaken for anything other than a full capitulation to the idea of the European Union being a purely economic association of nations that can go toe-to-toe with the World.

It should also cast aside any mistaken notions among Radicals that European politicians are somehow "more progressive" than American ones, especially seeing as one of the oft-glazed Scandinavian countries of Finland and Sweden recently joined NATO, which, is a military alliance that serves no other purpose than to antagonize the Russian Military Industrial Complex since NATO's strategic desires are to eventually encircle the utterly massive nation. This isn't to suggest that Russian political aspirations are totally altruistic, but, NATO only came into existence in order to protect European nations from invasion by the Soviet Union, which, ceased to be a nation in 1991. Since then, NATO has expanded rapidly towards the Russian border.

Germany cannot keep Ukraine's war effort afloat by itself, so, this publication predicts that politicians such as Merz will attempt to create some type of "war economy" for the entirety of the European Union to escape the illogical and arbitrary legal rules regarding sovereign debt that European Union nations have to face in order to keep their membership within the bloc.

"Okay, Whatever. Not Really Seeing how this is Relevant. What about the Detroit Policy Conference?"

We will tie up all the loose ends narratively at the conclusion of this report, but, here is where we'll illustrate just how out of touch the local Capitacracy is, and, how their desires relates to the visions of the global Capitacracy.

So, where exactly should we start when we talk about the political interests of the local Business Elites that they laid out at the conference? We would suggest starting with the broad ideas that the local Capitacrats expressed during the conference before we address the messages that local politicians broadcasted:

The Long and Short of the Detroit Policy Conference: We'll Bring Technofeudalism Here and Everything will be Fine

That headline might appear vapid and trite, but, it is the most accurate summation of what Metro Detroit's business leaders wanted to get across to their compatriots during the event.

We'll start with the event entitled: "Unlocking Human Potential in the Age of AI", which was paneled by Shatica McDonald and Sarah Dugan from Accenture (which is a firm that various firms use to "find efficiencies" within their operations, and, incorporated in a tax haven, not once, but twice) as well as Ronia Kruse (founder of Digital Lakes, a PR firm focused on branding Michigan as a "innovation state" for tech jobs and CEO of Optech) and Dana Williams, the now former director of the firm contracted to run Detroit at Work who had to step down because of financial mismanagement.

The only interesting portion of the panel came when Dugan was asked what would it take to get more people open to using AI even if they have their reservations about the technology. The baffling answer she gave was essentially that, "leaders need to lead" on the implementation of the technology. Implying further adoption would happen among the rank and file in the workforce when they see their bosses using and prioritizing AI regularly. Mind you, the vast majority of Americans are overwhelmingly skeptical of AI no matter what walk of life they come from.

Unfortunately, that panel sets the stage for the rest of the sentiment expressed by the Business Class representatives at the policy conference.

The next notable panel was entitled: "The Importance of Data Centers in Michigan’s Economy", which, goes without saying is hopelessly deluded since 2/3rds of Americans oppose AI data centers. The real icing on the cake comes from the fact that the "panel" was comprised of just two individuals, Sandy Baruah (the current chair of the Detroit Chamber) and John Rakolta Jr. (former ambassador to the United Arab Emirates and chairman of Walbridge, a construction company that builds data centers. And yes, that is a complete conflict of interest, we know).

This publication absolutely and forcefully encourages our readers/listeners to actually listen to this panel just to understand how out of touch our regional "leaders" are when it comes to policy. For example, the 78 year old Rakolta suggested that "data centers are the most fantastic economic development opportunity in the last 150 years" and compared them to the Auto Industry in it's "potential" for changing the economy of Michigan.

Rakolta came to this conclusion by sheepishly flipping through his pre-prepared cue-cards which contained "facts" and figures that he refused to properly cite about the massive upheaval in auto jobs since the 70's and simply suggested that AI is poised to power supposed grand and sweeping revenue windfalls for local municipalities.

Near the end of Rakolta's remarks, he suggested that, even with the massive amounts of data centers currently being built within Michigan, he stated that we were still "behind" other states such as Virginia and Ohio. What was his solution to "catch up" in the AI data center race? Build at least 16 Gigawatts of "capacity" to remain "competitive" in the industry (for reference, America's largest planned data center in Utah, which is three times as large as the island of Manhattan, is expected to use 16 Gigawatts of energy, or 23 atomic bombs worth of power per day).

And, as he wrapped up, in no great shock to anyone who has an IQ above room temperature, Rakolta "debunked" all of the main criticisms against AI data centers suggesting that they didn't use much water, and aren't going to substantially ruin rural landscapes. He even went as far as suggesting that these data centers would reduce electric bills (and, just like all of his other claims, he refused to actually cite a source for these assertions).

For the final example of what our local Capitacrats want from the public and our elected officials, Jared Fleisher, the CEO of Bedrock, Dan Gilbert's real estate firm, got a chance to give a keynote address to the Detroit Chamber about the proposed changes that he'd like to see the City of Detroit make in order to be more "business friendly".

Fleisher started off by focusing on the millage rate, which is 82.2 mills. Interestingly enough, showing how the local Business Elite somewhat cautious of repeating typical Conservative talking points when it comes to discussing the City's finances, Fleisher emphasized the fact that the millage rate was, in no way, shape, or form a "spending problem". He accurately cited the fact that only 1/3rd of that millage goes directly towards the general fund of the City, with the entirety of the rest going towards schools, higher education, debt, Wayne County services and parks.

The surprises stopped there, however, as the rest of Fleisher's time was spent talking about policies that he felt would benefit the City in the long run to adopt. Which, included a "modest" version of Mike Duggan's failed push for a Land Value Tax, a local sales tax for the immediate Downtown area, and, the issue that we'll round out our analysis on: a "reformed" version of tax breaks.

What did actually raise eyebrows here at Black Label Detroit is the fact that Fleisher admitted that nearly 100% of all developments within the City of Detroit receives tax breaks. The millage reductions that they bring may vary wildly, but, almost every single one of them that the City/state offers all lasts for a total of 12 years. Some even extend on to 30 years. To Fleisher, however, this represents a problem, because he suggests that each one of these handouts has what he describes as a "cliff" for payments after the term of the tax breaks are over.

It doesn't make much sense to us, seeing as at the time of writing this report, 12 years ago was 2014 (the year of Detroit's bankruptcy), and, 12 years from now, the City will be in the middle of it's painful debt repayment obligations. So, the City is actually desperately in need of all the revenues that it can bring in. Rather than wake up to this reality, Fleisher and the rest of Metro Detroit's Business Elite sees the City's millage rate as some arbitrary number that has to be brought down by the City itself and none of the other tax obligations that Detroiters have to pay (such as the services to Wayne County), need to be touched.

So, what exactly is his solution? Fleisher says specifically to: "make tax abatements half as generous and twice as long". So, in other words, the return of extend and pretend for Detroit's finances. Seeing as even in the 7 year span between 2017 and 2023, Detroit gave away ~$1 Billion dollars in tax breaks and City tax revenues are flat/slightly down when compared to the time Detroit exited bankruptcy, this bit of policy "advice" from the Business Elite represents nothing more than fiscal suicide if Mayor Mary Sheffield follows their proposals, which, the City can ill-afford to sustain.

Oh Great, Now here's the Part where You Bash Mary Sheffield, Right?

Actually, no. Even though the whole "theme" of this year's Detroit Policy Conference was "new leadership", Sheffield did not attend the policy conference, and, instead, opted to provide pre-recorded remarks to the assembled business leaders. There's not really much of note to be made of the remarks other than a pretty hilarious Freudian slip that Sheffield made in her address that wasn't edited out, which came when she was attempting to "dispel" the idea that a politician can't make policy in the interests of business and in the interests of the neighborhoods and the poor at the same time, literally saying "strong neighborhoods and strong businesses are mutually exclusive".

The only other politicians of note who gave a keynote speech to the Chamber were the leaders of Macomb County: Mark Hackel and John Rea, who entitled their contribution to the event "Macomb with Everybody", a play on the popular brand "Detroit vs Everybody". Those of you who are critical of Macomb County's position when it comes to regional collaboration will probably come away from their speech surprised, seeing as their residents are often blamed for being backwards and antagonistic towards both Detroiters and others within the metro area.

Both Rea and Hackel were extremely blunt about the condition of Macomb County's situation before they took power in 2011. For context, Macomb was facing a $13.5 million deficit and declining services before voters opted to adopt a new charter in 2009 that went into effect in 2011 which established an executive position within the county, where Hackel easily won as he was the Macomb County sheriff for a while before the position was created.

Yet, if you paid close attention to their speech, both Hackel and Rea admitted something interesting. They asserted that Macomb's position within the metro only came about because considerable powers were taken from the county commission and given to them, and they also admitted that the county's roads are underfunded, requiring a total of $2.5 billion to bring every road and bridge up to code. So, in essence, Macomb's current regionalist orientation rests on the fact that the County needs investment from the wider metro and Hackel is a uniquely popular moderate who has his finger on the pulse of his residents. So, if he were to retire, there very well could be a new County executive who opts to disengage with the wider region. I think Hackel knows that this prospect would hurt his residents so he tries to strike a balance between local and regional interests.

What this All Means for You: The Struggle for a Form of Democracy that can Finally Kill Capitacracy

If we were to live in the World that each one of these "leaders" envisions for us, our economies would be propped up by nothing other than surveillance tech and war machines, which, would go on to meekly support the actively decaying nation-state. And on the local level, this would mean the grand scale slaughtering of the levels of biodiversity we currently enjoy within our collectively inherited environment.

This bleak and boring dystopia will no longer be some distant prospect, separated by thousands of miles, held at arm's length by news tickers perpetually set to display "BREAKING". Instead, it'll penetrate our livelihoods with our sons and daughters sent to fight more pointless wars of greed and aggression. It'll smother our air with pollutants and excess heat, envelop our water and electricity networks with unneeded strain, and set up the architecture of a permanently disassociated, distrustful and culturally schizophrenic society that'll no longer be able to tell what actually is, and isn't, factual.

This is the reason why these developments affect everyone here within Metro Detroit and further afield. It's the centrality of this region within the World's collective consciousness that creates for all of us a grand, nearly biblical struggle. If this region were to put a halt to these socially suicidal developments, other Cities and regions will be emboldened to take the fight to their backyards as well. And, this publication will assure you, the most powerful corporations and Billionaires are hell bent on seeing Metro Detroit becoming their own internationally recognized petri dish.

We have a concrete, bone-chilling, and substantiated notion of this seeing as Metro Detroit has been identified as one of the global centers "where the modern World is being built" which were the exact same words uttered by Blackrock CEO and interim World Economic Forum co-chair Larry Fink. While it is undoubtedly true that Metro Detroit has irreversibly changed the way that our Cities, and thus, the World, has been designed via the creation of the mass-produced automobile, to suggest that the Auto Industry is in the same economically commanding position that it was during the time of Henry Ford, or, during it's post-World War II peak in the 1950s is nothing more than pure fantasy.

So, what exactly is Larry Fink trying to say about our home region? This publication believes that the local and global Capitacracy are in the beginning stages of reasserting the dominance of manufacturing within the region, but, in a manner that is shaped by the Socioecopolitical desires of the power-players that we mentioned above. Fink's name-drop of Detroit hasn't just materialized out of thin air, what many of our readers/listeners may not know, is the fact that the World Economic Forum in which Fink represents already has an institutional "beachhead" within the City of Detroit in the planned, yet, now furloughed "Global Centre for Urban Transformation" which was announced during the pandemic and, flew miles under the radar within the local press despite being intimately tied with local Billionaire Dan Gilbert and his Bedrock real estate firm.

Things potentially get even spookier when you take Fink's comments in context with the other Cities that he mentioned for potential homes of the World Economic Forum, such as Dublin, Ireland (which is by far one of the most expensive Cities on the European landmass and which was the site of fueled anti-immigrant riots among the Irish Right), Jakarta, Indonesia (which has been the epicenter of a brutal government crackdown against anti-austerity and anti-police brutality protesters) and, Buenos Aires, Argentina (which has also been the site of mass protests against anti-labor legislation that legalized 12 hour shifts and eliminated paid sick leave and overtime).

We'll momentarily pause here to ask our readers/listeners and our critics alike a simple question: How is Detroit anything like those aforementioned Cities? This may seem a bit "controversial" to the figureheads of the Detroit Chamber and the World Economic Forum, but, we see no similarities, nor, correlation that Detroit has with any of those Cities. Dare we even suggest that those Cities are NOT, in fact, good examples of places where "the modern World is being built".

Instead, Black Label Detroit will suggest that, if we were to somehow fall into the most bleak, dystopian, and hellish timeline, where the World Economic Forum has a expanded here in Metro Detroit (which would be lobbied hard and accepted with open arms by the local Business Elite to make sure this is the case), countless acres of farmland and wilderness go on to be completely swallowed up by data centers, welcomed by supposed "pragmatist" Liberals such as outgoing governor Gretchen Whitmer and even prime urban real estate is given away by politicians who style themselves as "champions of the people" such as current Detroit Mayor Mary Sheffield, while the few remaining "white collar" jobs are rapidly automated out of existence because of the oft-reported "AI job apocalypse" had been allowed to take place unimpeded, leaving us to be the "play-things" of forces that we won't be able to comprehend just as the wealthy international financiers such as dead Billionaire pedophile Jeffery Epstein envisioned for the City of Detroit during it's much publicized bankruptcy, this publication can draw no other conclusion other than the fact that we will be the setting of a larger, more bloody, and vastly more crushing defeat than those who participated in the of 1999 "Battle of Seattle", where a mass uprising of various Radicals, Labour Unions, Students, and Ordinary Seattle residents were ruthlessly crushed by the City's police department for daring to protest the World Trade Organization creating the blueprint for international trade deals that were negotiated out of the public's eye.

To wrap up, when Black Label Detroit published the "Detroit's Delayed Destiny" report, we knew that Detroit would regain the international spotlight somehow, but, we never could have conceived of a struggle that is this intense, this critical, and in an international context that was this bleak.

And yet, it may have taken us a few years to come to a fruitful conclusion to the ponderous question of "what should be done to change Metro Detroit, and the World?" through countless hours of research and thousands of pages turned through numerous books about Cities, but, the vision of the Metropolitan Parliament finally came into view. We have decided that the pursuit of establishing this radically democratic form of government is essential to give all Citizens, whether Radical or fundamentally Conservative, a form of government in which they can assert their power via elections, various representatives, and the inclusion of Citizens into the body's day-to-day operations.

The question remains, however, can Radicals win power within a structure that exists to elevate the voices of the people? We have already set out some policies that we think would allow a Radical-led government to be established. It is up to us as individuals to come together and link hand in hand with others who believe in the power of Collective Democracy, to shape our globally renowned region into a realm where the forces of the Capitacracy is irreversibly neutered, shackled, or otherwise totally eliminated and their influence on urban development, Civic energy, and municipal economics is forever lost to history.

The Capitacracy has already exposed it's intentions for the World to see, Black Label Detroit can illuminate their machinations, but, at the end of the day, it's up to you, fellow jaded Citizen, to get off your ass and do something to keep their plans from being established.

So, do something about it.

To be Human is to struggle against material boundaries and leave the perks of productive abundance to our offspring so that they can live lives of fulfillment. It is imperative for us to utterly destroy any and all systems that prevent us from living satisfactory lives within a just system.

To reject that struggle is to accept a life of arbitrary boundaries, aggression, and injustice, forever.
